I
am sharing with you about the beautiful Tuesday evening Sacred
Tone Seminar facilitated by Paul Kaye.
People seem to really enjoy the evening. Paul's presentation
is sweet and simple; he does very little talking and uses selections
from the Meditation packet.
He
quietly shares between selections, introduces the next chant
and says, "We will let J-R explain about the chant," and then
plays the selection. He allows quiet time after a chant for
each person to experience the tone inwardly.
Please
join us for these evenings full of peace and grace.

An
Evening of Grace and Loving for Discourse Subscribers
by Laren
Bright
Genie
Ford came up with another good idea: to invite year 1 & 2 discourse
subscribers to a special home seminar.
She
felt that some folks who subscribe to discourses have no idea
of other ways of connecting with the Traveler. Genie invited
Penelope and me to have a special seminar at our home, on a
night different than our regular Thursday evenings. The idea
was to have yummy food, time to talk and hang out, and then
the treat of a regular, down home MSIA tape seminar.
We
decided on a Saturday evening so people didn't have to rush
here from work, and could relax afterward if they chose. Genie
sent out a warm letter to about 75 people on year 1 or 2 of
their discourse study, inviting them to the event and requesting
their RSVP. The invitation was sent out about 10 days in advance
of the event.
Although
we were designing the evening specifically for discourse subscribers,
Genie supported welcoming newcomers and the regular seminar-goers
who asked if they could attend. All in all, we created this
evening with an openness to Spirit and whoever wished to attend.
We had absolutely no idea what to expect—based on the usual
response in L.A., we figured 5-10 people would be a huge success.
The
evening arrived, and turned out to be a lovely time for all.
Fourteen people came, including four new folks (2 brought by
MSIA friends, 1 in response to an ad for our regular Thursday
evening seminar, and one brought by a friend who had attended
a seminar before), and 2 people who were on discourses, but
had never been to a home seminar before. The rest were regulars,
and the mix was just excellent.
There
was a sense of intimacy and genuine sharing. The food, which
Genie prepared (and which people are still talking about) was
simple and absolutely delicious. We started the seminar with
a brief explanation for the new folks, and then proceeded with
our usual program.
People
started arriving about 6:00 and the seminar itself started at
7:30. The "official" seminar ended by 9:15, and we knew it was
a successful evening when folks hung around until 10:30! The
last folks walked out the door around 11:45.
Not
only did we have the experience of a wonderful seminar, but
the additional warmth of having created a special place for
people who are just discovering the Traveler was very rewarding.
Those early days of mine were precious, and I felt blessed to
share this loving with others.
If
you're interested in trying an evening like this, contact Genie
Ford or Helen Prati at Prana, 323-737-4055. They would love
to help you create your own special evening, and can provide
you with a master of the invitation letter and ideas for an
overview of the evening.
All
in all, the evening seemed to support those looking for the
teachings of the Traveler, or looking to connect in a deeper
way. I know Genie, Penelope and I enjoyed it, and that's as
good an indicator as I can think of.
